Fab-Tex offers a complete line of superior quality replacement and custom filter bags designed to fit most manufacturers dust collector baghouses.

Our filter bags are carefully fabricated and sized to ensure easy installation and change-outs.

We offer many filtering medias, coatings, and finishes that can be used in the design of the filter bag surface to enhance cleaning and prolong the service life of the bags.

We supply filter bags for Pulse Jet (Top and Bottom load) Shaker and Reverse Air collectors in a variety of materials and finishes for your specific application.

Bag type dust collecting systems generally fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Pulse Jet or Plenum Pulse Cleaning Systems
  2. Shaker or Reverse Flow Cleaning Systems

  • Pulse Jet or Plenum Pulse Cleaning Systems

In Pulse Jet and Plenum Pulse systems, the dust is collected on the outside of the filter bag and the clean air exits through the inside of the bag. The bag is supported by a wire cage to prevent the bag from collapsing during operation. These systems generally utilize needlefelt medias.

In a ‘Top Load’ system, the filter bag and cages are installed from the clean air side of the cell plate while with Bottom Load, they are installed from the dirty air/hopper side of the unit.

  • Shaker or Reverse Flow Cleaning Systems

In Shaker and Reverse Air cleaning systems, the dust is collected on the inside of the filter bag. Since the bag is inflated by the air/dust stream, support cages are not required. The filtered air exits through the outside surface of the bags. Shaker and reverse air systems mostly use woven filter medias. Many configurations are available to suit the needs of most dust collectors.

Filter Bag Media Options

As a general rule, Pulse Jet and Plenum Pulse cleaning systems utilize needle felt medias, while Shaker and Reverse Air systems use woven medias. Medias are manufactured from a variety of man-made fibers and are selected based on a number of factors including: operating temperature, chemical components in the dust stream, abrasiveness of the dust being handled as well as other characteristics of the particular systems usage.
